Trending Wedding Colours for 2024

Choosing your Wedding colours can be a tough decision, but gaining inspirations from places like Pinterest, Instagram and Blogs like this is a good way to start! Here are 5 of the top trending colour schemes for 2024 that might help you make up your mind, or at the very least give you some inspiration for your big day:

Peach Fuzz

The 2024 Pantone colour of the year is described as a ‘velvety gentle peach tone, who’s all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body & soul’. I can’t think of a much better vibe than this to bring into your Wedding day!

Peachy tones are warm, inviting and go amazingly well with greenery and white florals. I think this will be a very popular colour choice heading into Spring and Summer, with flowers like peonies, garden roses and dahlias being seen in bouquets and buttonholes. Wedding stationary in the same colours, with silk bows or wax seals, will also make for a subtle but stunning touch. Bridesmaid dresses in different Peach tones will also flatter everyone - I can see these becoming more popular throughout the year too!

The Unexpected Red Theory

This trend has recently taken the world of Tiktok by storm – mostly in home décor and clothing. It’s the idea that you place pops of red in places where you wouldn’t generally expect them to be and I absolutely LOVE this idea for a Wedding!

A bold, luxurious colour, there are so many ways you could use red throughout your Wedding day. Makeup, accessories for the Bride or Groom or in personalised cocktails are just a few ideas that come to mind.

Dopamine Décor

Another Tiktok & Instagram sensation - this is one of the most fun trends I have seen in a long time! Vibrant pop of colour like orange, cobalt blue, pink or yellow placed in an otherwise neutral environment is a playful and interesting way to decorate a space. People’s eyes will be drawn to the colour, giving them a little hit of happy hormones as they do so… What more could you want for your Wedding guests?

Bright florals are already rising in popularity this year, and I can see additions like disco balls and fun lighting being used in more relaxed, laid back Weddings. Mismatched, bright Bridesmaid dresses are also on the rise – allowing everybody to find something to suit them and add some colour to the day at the same time!

Barbiecore

With the Barbie movie giving the colour pink a new-found lease of life, we are seeing a lot of pink shades making their way back into the Wedding industry! Whether you are going for bright & powerful or feminine and dainty, there is a pink to suit almost everyone. Barbiecore sounds overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be all or nothing! Use shades that suit you and your style, and incorporate them into your day however you like.

I personally love a blush shade in glassware, crockery, or even a Bride’s veil for something subtle yet girly. Bright, fushia shades are also so fun and create the same effect as the dopamine décor!

 Earthy Neutrals

After all that talk of colour, I had to bring it back to where my heart really sings… earthy neutrals are here to stay for 2024! They don’t go out of style, and can elevate any space to look more luxe and put together.

To keep your day from looking plain & potentially ‘boring’, I think it’s important to factor in different tones and textures throughout the day. Natural woods, linen runners, silky ribbons, dried flowers and satin suits or dresses are all great ways to start.

Always remember that your Wedding day is exactly that – yours! Don’t get bogged down in the trends if they don’t call out to you…If the colours you choose make you happy and match your personal style, then that is all that matters.

Hopefully these 5 trending colour schemes for 2024 gave you some inspiration and helped you to look outside the box - but if you need any more help in narrowing it down just get in touch!
